Its main responsibility is to coordinate firefighting throughout Austria in the Areas:

• Organisation
• Training
• Technology
• Equipment

In addition, the Austrian Fire Brigade Association is responsible for representing the interests of Austrian firefighters at the European and international levels and strengthening international cooperation between firefighting organisations.
