On 18th May 2022, the FEU and the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association (Metro) signed a MoU to outline their common mission of advancing the international fire service through the exchange of experience and information in the fields of Leadership within the Fire Service, Training and Education, Exchange Programs, Risk inventories and Analyzes, Disaster Relief & Rescue and related services.

The MoU was approved by membership votes at the 2022 Metro conference held in Memphis, Tennessee and by the FEU Council meeting held on November 4, 2021.

The MoU was signed by Stephan Wevers/president FEU and Don Lombardi/president Metro at May 18, 2022.
