The Federation of European Fire Officers (FEU) is proud to announce that Finian Joyce has been awarded honorary membership in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the organisation.

Finian Joyce began his career with the FEU in 2006 as a representative of CFOA Ireland and served as secretary and treasurer for 12 years. His tenure was marked by significant achievements, including the implementation of the Vision 2020 strategy and the development of the Bfiresafe@school programme.

Finian's commitment to fire safety education, transparency and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, such as the European Commission in Brussels, took the FEU's mission to the next level. His leadership has helped expand the FEU's network and get initiatives such as Erasmus+ projects and international partnerships off the ground.

Finian was previously awarded the FEU Gold Medal on his retirement, in recognition of his outstanding service. Fortunately, he continues to share his expertise and experience as a member of the FEU Voting Committee and as vice-chair of EuroFSA.

We are very grateful to Finian for his unwavering commitment and profound impact. His legacy of excellence and integrity continues to inspire and strengthen the FEU.
