On Nov. 18, 2021, the FEU and the OBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to outline agreements and responsibilities to collaborate and share research and data for the purpose of reducing fire risks and improving life and fire safety for all citizens in partner country communities now and in the future.
In particular, these cooperation agreements facilitate three - more specific - strategic objectives: Improving the position of the fire department in legislative and policy debates, developing fire department leadership, and being a strategic hub for fire department officials from both sides internationally by creating a platform for the exchange of knowledge, research and experiences; physically, virtually and digitally.
The MoU was signed by Stephan Wevers/President FEU and Martín Cucalón de Ycaza/President OBA.
