Chief Fire Officer of the Year Award
The leadership of the Federation of EUropean fire officers (FEU) are recognizing its members for accomplishments and performance on a strategic level and developing the next generation of fire officers in an international context.
As a FEU member you can nominate one or more chief fire officers in Europe for this award. Winners will be announced online before the end of a current year.
The Chief Fire Officer of the Year will be honored either at a FEU Council meeting or at a conference, where they give a presentation on their view of leadership.
The Awards Committee consists of the members of the FEU’s Leadership Committee. Chair of the Awards Committee is the program leader of the Leadership Committee. For additional information, please send an email to Lau K. Lauritzen at laulau@hbr.dk.

Nominate your chosen chief fire officer for the award by filling out the nomination form no later than October 20th, 2023.
European Chief Fire Officer of the Year will be awarded annually. The award is given to a Chief Fire Officer who is a pioneer, a founder, who has done extraordinary work or is an inspiration in strategic levels of leadership. The strategic levels could be: Diversity and inclusiveness, Human Relations, Fire Service Professional Code and Ethics, zero tolerance (for violence, discrimination, bullying, etc), reaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals or the preparation for future challenges.
